Crystal Good -- South Boston, VA (Ebenezer Mennonite Church)
In answer to my parents' prayers, I was born early. Two weeks later I was with them in Irwin, Ohio, at a Rosedale Chorale Reunion. Ever since,
music has made me tick. : ) Playing piano, going to classical
concerts, listening to outstanding choirs, singing with other music
enthusiasts --
that's me! Another passion of mine is teaching. I love the
opportunities it gives for building meaningful relationships with
youngsters as well as for keeping one sharp academically. I am currently
in my fourth year of teaching at Ebenezer Mennonite School. Later this
year I plan to move to Poland for two years to teach English under
Anabaptist International Ministries. What an amazing development in the
story of my life!Back to About Us Page

Amy Weaver -- Middleburg, PA (Millmont Mennonite Church)
Hi! My name is Amy Weaver. I am from Middleburg, Pa. and am a junior in
high-school. I enjoy school and I love to sing, as my friends will
readily affirm. I am always singing, around the house, at church, and
even school and youth group activities. I have had the privilege of
singing in several different choirs under different directors. This is
the second time that I am singing under the direction of Lamar Kauffman.
He is my main connection to the Tapestry group. I do not know many of
the members, but I hope I can learn to know them after this is all over.
Because of mine and other's love of singing, I have had the opportunity
to meet many people that I would otherwise not know. My horizons have
been considerably broadened by it. Although I love to sing, I do enjoy
other activities. I play piano, guitar, and violin. I also like to play
volleyball. I get to do a fair amount of this with my youth group.
Tennis is another sport I enjoy. I haven't played it very much, but I am
getting into it. I also like hanging out with friends (like most teens
my age). I am looking forward to this summer and singing with Tapestry.
I feel honored to be a part of it.Back to About Us Page

Suzanne Good -- South Boston, VA (Ebenezer Mennonite Church)
First, let me say that I absolutely love music, and I love to sing! Our family has sung a lot together ever since I can remember, and it's just a
part of us. I am so excited about being a part of Tapestry! It's hard
to believe this is really happening. I'm sixteen, the youngest in our
family, and a junior in high school. I play piano, and also work some at
our bake shop. Some things I enjoy doing are playing volleyball,
scrapbooking, spending time with my nephew, and having good talks with my
friends.Back to About Us Page

Bethany Weaver -- Middleburg, PA (Millmont Mennonite Church)
Hi! I'm Bethany, known by most as "Bessie." I'm the youngest Tapestry member. I'm only fifteen right now, but will turn sixteen in the middle
of our tour. So I'm still just a little squirt. I'm not sure how I get
lucky enough to get in on these kinds of things except having friends in
the right places and enjoying chorale music. Five and a half years of
piano lessons is the extent of my musical education. I'm a sophomore in
high school, so that's my life right now. In addition to music, I love
sports. Volleyball is my favorite, but I also really like basketball,
soccer, tennis, and others. I'm really excited about being a part of
Tapestry and am looking forward to it this summer.Back to About Us Page

Barb Smucker -- Anytown, USA (Brownsville Mennonite Church)
I am rootless, footloose, and fancy-free, and I keep changing addresses.
I am a pilgrim and a stranger, a nomad on the earth. And I love music.
I've been missing music in various ways in the last four years of medical
school since previous to that I taught music and singing to elementary
and high school students as well as singing regularly in a community
choir and just enjoying the singing at my church. So I'm excited about
being a part of Tapestry and disappointed that I will only be a part time
member due to unexpected dates for beginning an internship in Lancaster,
PA, the next phase of my medical training. I'm also excited about May
24, which happens to be the date for my graduation from medical school in
Des Moines, Iowa.Back to About Us Page

Merry Yoder -- Catlett, VA (Faith Christian Fellowship)
Hi! I'm so excited about being part of Tapestry. As a data processor
working for Choice Books of Northern VA, I have a lot to do but a
flexible schedule in which to do it and a wonderful support group of
fellow employees willing to allow me to indulge my passion for good
music. From a small child I have had an intense interest in music both
vocal and instrumental. God brought many people into my life who have
strengthened that interest and broadened my horizons. I was priviliged
to be part of CROSS quartet for several years. Now in connection with
Tapestry, Rosie and Barb, AHQ, and Crystal and her family have all played
an important part in this aspect of my life. Singing with Tapestry is a
dream come true for me. Back to About Us Page

Ginger Good -- South Boston, VA (Ebenezer Mennonite Church)
Music is such a part of my life! So many of my memories as a child are music memories -- going to King's Singers and Heralds concerts, singing
and giving programs with my family, singing in Mennonite Heritage
Chorale, and attending music recitals of my siblings. Some of my
favorite singing groups are King's Singers, Chanticleer, King's Heralds,
West Coast Mennonite Chamber Choir, and, oh, I couldn't forget AHQ! I am
a 2003 high school senior, and am very excited about graduating. Other
than school work, I work at our family's bake shop and play violin. Some
hobbies of mine are spending time with my little nephew, shopping,
playing volleyball and softball, singing, and listening to music.Back to About Us Page

Jennifer Schrock -- Macon, MS (Magnolia Mennonite Church)
I have grown up in a family that has done a lot of singing. We were
asked to sing in church quite often when we were younger and when our
whole family was still at home. I love challenges and I feel that this
experience with singing with Tapestry will be a stretching time in my
music world. I taught 3rd-5th grade this past year in our school and had
an awesome year. Music class was one of my favorite courses to teach.
My students just ate up everything that was taught and they loved asking
questions that were way above their level, but hopefully some day they
will be able to remember and understand some of it. I have taken piano
lessons a few years but I had long breaks between those years which has
not helped me advance very fast. I love piano and hope to be a little
more consistent in taking lessons. If you're really wanting to know all
about me, this is last but not least, I am dating a wonderful guy from
Gap, PA, Marvin Lapp!!Back to About Us Page
